Explosion protection

Protection starts with the material, the process and the connections between equipment. Exora brings specialist engineering and technical procurement together around a defined explosion protection scope.

Understand the hazard

Dust, gas and vapour hazards require different protection concepts. The design basis brings together material characteristics, operating conditions, equipment geometry and the consequences of an event.

Venting, suppression and isolation

Explosion venting provides a designed pressure-relief path. Suppression limits the development of an explosion. Isolation addresses propagation between connected equipment. Their suitability and integration must be evaluated for the specific application.

Equipment and process interfaces

Filters, silos, mills, dryers and conveying systems must be considered as connected processes. Equipment pressure resistance, discharge arrangements, controls and shutdown interfaces belong in the same engineering review.
